ARTS Beirut

I’ve heard a lot about ARTS and have been excited to try it since the day it opened. After visiting it on Saturday, I understand why it has such a high rating. Well-deserved, I must say; I’m giving it an easy “5” myself.

We were two and sat at the bar. The place is always full, so make sure to reserve at least a week ahead. Crowd is not young, minimum age allowed is 24. It’s not a clubbing place; it’s a lounge with nice cool music and dimmed lights, so the ambiance is lovely. Perfect for a nice dinner and drinks. The view is breathtaking; however, if you’re sitting at the bar, you won’t be facing it, but you can always ask for a table next to the window. It’s a smoking area, but it wasn’t filled with smoke – good ventilation I suppose.

I wouldn’t say it’s “casual dining”; the place is very classy and very stylish. Everything from the design of the bar, to the design of the menus, to the choice of cutlery and glasses is very well-thought of.

Service is great, and staff is friendly. The bartenders were very nice and helpful, especially Assem who took very good care of us. He made us very tasty drinks. The presentation of the drinks is outstanding. As for food, it was simply delicious. We tried the “Crab Salad with Fresh Apples” and the “Yuzu Marinated Salmon”, both so yummy!

In short, we loved the place and sure plan to visit again! Highly recommended.
