Well, well, well… I can say with confidence that ABC is my favorite mall in Lebanon. No doubt the opening of ABC Verdun was much-awaited. Personally, I was really excited to check out this new addition to the ABC Family. Attending the media opening party was such a great pleasure. I was happy to be part of this event; it was a huge success. Nice ambiance, great shows, and lovely people were very impressive.

Let’s recap my impression about this new branch; here are five things I liked:

Immense Area
It’s very spacious. Like really spacious. 50,000 square meters people, that’s huge! It’s one of the biggest in Lebanon. It consists of:
– 10,000 square meters Department Store
– 3,700 square meters Cinema
– 2,300 square meters Entertainment Section
– 1,800 square meters of green spaces
The area is distributed between 6 shopping floors. It has 4 different access points and 3 different pedestrian entrances which makes it accessible from different sides. It has 1,700 parking spots and over 2,200 new job opportunities. I believe that’s massive. It’s designed in a way to reflect Mediterranean openness and connectivity in a modern and casual way with easy navigation and with respect to highest international standards.

Abundance of Green Spaces
I really love the green spaces, the much-needed courtyard. The roof looks like a garden. This is so refreshing especially that we do need green areas in our busy congested Beirut.

Shopping Madness
ABC houses 230 stores, several of which are new in town like Kiko Milano (Makeup), and Secret Senses (Intimates, Activewear, Swimwear). Lots and lots of our beloved brands and stores including Karl Lagerfeld, Calvin Klein, Converse, Tommy Hilfiger, Adidas, Nike, MAC… It’s a long list! I guess you can find anything there. Azadea alone opened 11 flagship stores.

Satisfied Taste Buds
Over 20 restaurants and cafes are available to satisfy all various tastes. New places like ni (Japanese, Sushi, Italian, Café) and Illy Café (Sandwich, Italian, Desserts) opened, in addition to the popular places like ZWZ, Divvy, Paul, Roadster, La Petite Table, Kitchen Yard, Nonna Pizza, Deek Duke, Semsom, Leila, Duo, Pinkberry, and many many more. Starbucks for example has not one, but all two branches. In addition, my favorite Kampai and Charlotte are now also a part of this new shopping monument.

All Day Entertainment
It feels like whatever you need is available inside this mall. Grand Cinemas span over a very wide area and has seven theatres. The huge Entertainment Area is still under construction, but I’m sure it’s going to be just as great. Places like Phil & Joe Barbershop, Patchi, Malik’s, Cash United, Virgin Megastore, House of Samsonite… are already available. Even Bank Audi now has a branch there! It’s suitable for family, couples, friends… I guess you can easily spend the whole day without noticing 😀

I’m sure ABC Verdun is going to be busy like crazy, especially at this time since it’s still new, but it’s really worth the visit.
